What does your daily face routine look like? How long does it take? What kind of products are you using to help with any skin issues? Ive had acne since I was a teenager, and Ive found that it doesnt matter how expensive a product is, its not going to work unless you have a full routine down that you stick to every day. I also have oily skin, and have found that exfoliating once a week helps keep the sheen down without freaking my skin into over oiling. This is my current routine, and over the past 5 months I have noticed a decrease in my acne scars, breakouts, and overall oil production.
1. Use makeup removing wipe to remove eye makeup (Currently using the Costco brand, love it way more than any others I’ve tried.)
2. Apply Ponds Cold Cream all over the face and neck to remove foundation and concealer.
3. Wipe off cold cream with warm wash cloth
4. Apply Neutrogena – Clear Pore Cleanser Mask to the face and neck, to remove left over residue from the cold cream, and to actually cleanse the face.
(Insert every Wednesday) Add St Ives original apricot scrub to CPCM to exfoliate and cleanse in just one step!
**Pro Tip** Actually removing all your makeup before you wash your face will make your cleanser more effective. Most cleansers are not strong enough to penetrate makeup (even if they say they are), especially if you shellac it on like I do. I love using cold cream, because its gentle, and effective. Some days when Im tired or short on time, I just use a makeup removing wipe instead.
5. Remove Clean Pore Cleanser Mask with warm wash cloth.
(Insert this step every other day). Dry face, apply boots botanics conditioning clay mask, let sit for 20 minuets. Wipe off with warm wash cloth.
6. Spray diluted apple cider vinegar to a cotton round, wipe face with cotton round.
7. Use small scraping (about the size of a pinky nail) of Doctor Bronners Virgin (whole kernel) Organic Coconut Oil as a moisturizer/eye cream.
Total time (If its a non mask day)-5-7 minuets. For the mornings, I do the same thing, minus cold cream, and subbing Clinique Acne Moisturizer for the Coconut Oil. We all have those days when an entire face routine seems like a daunting task, but its literally 5 minuets. Your skin will thank you!
